Last year ended on complete shit, and this year promises so far to be just as shitty. So...in all good spirits, fuck 2005 straight from the git-go.

Nah, some good shit happened last year, it was just such a punch to the gut in the end there, and that punch will echo for a few years in numerous ways. Ya know, money can make life good, or royally fuck you up. I got the "fuck you up" in the Lottery ticket land.

But yeah, same here, no money until Feb., but by then the new mortgage and taxes should be into full swing, so that will fuck me up. Happy stuff man, happy stuff.

Mortgages and taxes are FUN, aren't they???
I think back to the apartment days and while I LOVE the freedom and solitude of my little house, I had a TON more money when we were renting....ah well....I'd have blown the extra cash anyway...
Keep yer head up, Carl, everything'll work out in the end!

Oh, my head is up. I'm one of those lovely people who you can never tell something is wrong with. And then one day I snap a little for a few hours, and then I am fine. Most people know that when I am in one of my little "funks", then you just stay away for a few, and then I am just fine after a little bit. I am also one who is REAL easy to pull out of bad moods. Usually jokes about my bad situations, or jokes about me in general, will do the trick. Oddly enough, jokes about my baldness are probably the best jokes to get me into a good mood. It helps me laugh at the absurdity that I am at times.

I'm really quite the "giddy" person who still has yet to take life seriously.

What happened with the lottery, Carl? Pray all is well with you and yours. But, if jokes help, then here's one. A horse walks into a bar. The bartender says, "why the long face"? Pahrumpum. *cue the sound of crickets* TCHT!!!

here ya go carl, just for you:

"I got a phone call from a gorgeous ex-girlfriend of mine the other day. We lost track of time, chatting about the wild nights we used to enjoy together.
I couldn't believe it when she asked if I'd like to meet up and maybe rekindle a little of that magic.
"Wow!", I said, "I don't know if I could keep pace with you now!
I'm a bit older and a bit balder than when you last saw me!"
She giggled and said she was sure I'd meet the challenge!
"Yeah", I said, "just so long as you don't mind a man with a waistband that's a few inches wider these days!"
She laughed and told me to stop being so silly!
She teased me, saying that she thought tubby bald men were cute!
"Anyway", "I've put on a couple of pounds myself!" she giggled...

When my mood goes bad, it stays bad, usually for the rest of the day. It's REALLY hard to pull me out of a funk - it's the characteristic my wife HATES about me. Family functions are very hard for me - I dread them, and am usually a bear the entire day. Lovely, eh? Although I must admit, my daughter stands the best chance of anyone of making me laugh or smile - she's got me completely wrapped...
Anyway, glad to hear that life ain't got ya beat!

Thanks Bill and Lycan. Stupid humor is the best.

My fave joke:

How did the monkey fall out of the tree?

<font size="4" face="Arial">Tig, I take it your "detour" from Sludge has proved fruitful. I'm glad to hear you are moving closer to Cincy. How was your trip there recently, the one where you saw certain people? I take it was good, and made you decide to move there.

My net time hasn't been so good. I recently got out of something pretty crazy. I think I'm even more convinced that I need to not get too closely involved with people on the net.

Anyway, good luck to you!
